Cate Blanchett is an Australian actress best known for her role in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit films. She has won two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and three British Academy Film Awards, among many other accolades. She is also the first and only actor to win an Academy Award for portraying the same character in two films.
Blanchett’s first major film role was in the 1998 drama film Elizabeth. She went on to star in numerous critically acclaimed films, such as The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Aviator, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and Blue Jasmine.
